Day 16: Nicknames

I don't have that many nicknames. My family calls me Ry, but that's about it. I really like it when people other than my family call me Ry. I don't know why! Anyway. With some of my school friends, my nickname is "Ryman". haha good right? Another nickname I've also had has been "dex", like the phonebook, because I have such a good memory.

Thanksgiving Point Deli. I love it. So. Much. I could eat there every day for the rest of my life. I always get the exact same thing too... :)

Day 13: Goals

Hm. This is a hard one. I'm not going to use pictures for this one.
Here we go.

Short-term Goals:
Start a new solo program in choir.
Hold poetry club every Monday and Thursday.
Take Grace out for ice cream on Monday.
Be more involved at home.
Clean my room. And keep it clean.
Text and call everyone back.
Have a better attitude.
Make the best of my last semester in high school.

Long-term Goals:
Go on a mission.
Go to a college where I can study what I want to study.
Get taller.
Get married in the temple.
Not fail at life.
Be happy.
Not lose any of the relationships that I treasure now.

Day 12: Things I don't leave the house without

Wallet. Holds my money, ID, and other random assorted cards. Also, a picture of a dinosaur Abby drew for me today in seminary :)

Keys. Whenever I have a car, that is.

Ipod. I usually only take my ipod if I am driving the Honda, because it has am ipod jack.

Chapstick. I am addicted.

One of my favorite places ever, Lake Powell. My uncle owns a timeshare on a houseboat so every summer we go down and spend a week on the water. It's awesome.

Now don't judge me for this one. A lot of people have this false idea that this movie is just a movie for emo kids. It really isn't. It has really good music and a good story as well. Don't hate until you've given it a chance.

This one is a guilty pleasure. I think it's flippin' hilarious. It appeals to my teenage boyish immature side.

Day 4: My parents

These are my parents, Joseph Andrew Ditty and Karalee Cutler.

My mom and dad are like, totally different. It's a wonder how they got married. But if they hadn't, we wouldn't have the wonder that is me, so I can't complain.

My parents are both from Bountiful, Utah, where I was born. In the eighth grade, they had science class together, and my dad had a crush on my mom, but she didn't know he existed (haha!). Then, in their senior year, my dad's brother set them up on a blind date, and the rest is in the history books under the chapter labeled "The Cretaceous Period".

My full name is Ryan Thomas Ditty.

I was born in Bountiful, Utah, on November 17, 1993 and have lived in Lehi, Utah in the same house for my entire life.

I have an older sister, an older brother, and a younger sister.

I'm currently 18 years old and go to Lehi High.

I work at Megaplex 8 at Thanksgiving point.

I love to read.

I love music, and as a result, my musical taste is extremely widespread and varied.

I hate fake people. I try to be as straight up as I can, as often as I can.

I've always wished that I could be magic. Like Harry Potter

Artificial watermelon flavor makes me sick.

I love color. I literally could spend an hour looking at paint chips, for this reason.

I wash my hands. A lot.

When it’s my time to go, I want to greet Death as an old friend.
When he comes knocking at my door, I’ll look out the window, smile, and invite him in.
We’ll sit down together, and maybe have a cup of tea
When he stands up and goes to the door, and beckons me onward, I’ll put on my coat and hat and follow him without complaint.
As he walks me from this life to the next, we’ll reminisce, and laugh quietly together
When we’ve almost reached our destination, he turns, and puts a hand on my shoulder to stop me
He looks down, with an almost sheepish grin, and brushes nonexistent dust off of his crisp black suit
